I just realized the files of all my "Letters to Cleo" albums never made it off my hard drive before it died.

Concord Thing #6 - It's the state capitol.

Yeah, for some reason I thought it was Manchester; so that was kind of an awkward conversation with the security guard.

Maybe it was the fact that you could fit the capitol building in my purse (I know the shire's a small state, but come on) or the fact that there wasn't even one protester outside ('cus I guess they all can wander inside and talk to people?), but the only vibe I I got was "Oh, old building! Maybe there's a tour!".

Yesterday was filled with diazepam and needles, today was filled with poop and puke (the little little guy I watch has a cold plus got his frenulum clipped), so here's hoping tomorrow is better.

Previous days here... )

Day 14: Your favorite book pairing.
Anne Elliot/Fredrick Wentworth "Persuasion"

The first Jane Austen book I read was Pride & Prejudice, for a while it was my favorite, then Emma, and then Persuasion.

This isn't the first blush of love, the overcoming of personalities or situations - that happened eight years ago.

Cut for lots of talking and vids... )

Last week my laptop died. So for the past few days I've been trying to back up all my files before I send it off to the repair place.

For some reason, mediafire is taking forever to upload stuff and it will only upload one file at a time.

::headwall::

So here's a meme to keep me from going crazy.

01. Pick 20 of your favorite movies.
02. Go to IMDB, and find a quote from each movie.
03. Post them here for everyone to guess.
04. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
05. No cheating!

Quote the raven, nevermore. )

For your listening enjoyment...

A short play mix for those days when you just want to lock yourself in the bathroom and cry.

It's kind of heavy on the musicals, but that seems to be the only place a girl can sing about feeling bad and it's not about lost love.

The Good - Got a review on ff.net for "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps".
Argghh! You got the mood absolutely perfect, and then left us hanging! I
wanted to dive in and read a lot more! Please consider a longer one next time
with your obvious talent for the craft. Thanks!

OMG! "your obvious talent for the craft." I want to kiss whoever wrote this!

The Bad - It's That Time of the Month and on top of that my throat is scratchy and my head hurts. Boo.

The Funny - To Be Six Again...
A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, observing his wife, looking at herself in the mirror. Since her birthday was not far off he asked what she'd like to have for her Birthday.

'I'd like to be six again', she replied, still looking in the mirror.

On the morning of her Birthday, he arose early, made her a nice big bowl of Lucky Charms, and then took her to Six Flags theme park. What a day!

He put her on every ride in the park; the Death Slide, the Wall of Fear, the Screaming Monster Roller
Coaster, everything there was.

Five hours later they staggered out of the theme park. Her head was reeling and her stomach felt upside down.

He then took her to a McDonald's where he ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a chocolate shake.

Then it was off to a movie, popcorn, a soda pop, and her favorite candy, M&M's. What a fabulous adventure!

Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed exhausted. He leaned over his wife with a big smile and lovingly asked, 'Well Dear, what was it like being six again?'

Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed. 'I meant my dress size, you retard!!!!'

The moral of the story: Even when a man is listening, he is gonna get it wrong.

Okay, I'm a Trip/T'Pol (Star Trek: Enterprise) shipper. I think I have read every story at the House of Tucker (big flippin' archive). The first story I read was "Passionfruit" and it got me hooked, my favorite story is "The Firebrand" which is all kinds of awesome. Both of these stories were written by the same author.

Fast forward several years.

I'm now looking for any Tony/Pepper (Iron Man) stories I can find. There is a multi chapter story called "Edin in a Box" that is wonderful.

But the authors name is tickling the back of my brain.

Then it clicks, the name is the same.

So I ask if she is the same author, she answers "yup", I fangirl all over the place.

Yeah, I was that fan - "OMG! You are so amazing! I reread your stories all the time! You're awesome!!!!!111!!"

Gha!!!!

All I wanted to do was make a simple animated icon. I've done this before.Make the stills, put them in order, save as a .gif file. But for some reason Image Ready won't save as a .gif!

Why won't it work?!

Edit: If you like this style but want a name not up there, let me know and I'll make it.

So Saturday's show was awesome, but I had woken up that morning with a sore throat and a headache so I high tailed it out of there the nano-second I could. In bed around 11:30pm Saturday, out of bed about 10:00am Monday.

Yeah, I'm still missing that day.

And now my laptop is acting up just when I have thing other people counting on me to do. (But when I was watching Dragon*Con TV it was fine!)

If I can get the forum recap uploaded and my bits for Buffy Between The Lines recorded I think I'll just turn the thing off and go back to bed.
