Feb. 5th, 2008
So today was Super Duper Tuesday and I was working the polls again.
On the plus side:
Poll opened at noon, so I didn't have to be there until 11:00 (vs. 5:30 of Nov)
On the minus side:
I was given the wrong set of keys, so I couldn't open the voting both
Had three people who were in the wrong book (party) or not at all, more paperwork!
The woman working with us was DEAF!!!!! So my mom and I were trying to do our jobs AND hers
My mom forgot to fill in the voting order for the first half of the day, more phone calls to the county board
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THATS HOLY, IF YOU CAN SWING THE TIME, SIGN UP TO WORK THE POLLS!!!!!!
We really need to get people that can, oh say HEAR!!! Call your local Board of Elections. You get paid to do it!
So all in all, kind of a crap day.
