Since I got so much writing done last weekend thanks to [ profile] fic_rush_48 today I'm going to do a mini rush!

If anyone else is writing this weekend and wants to join in my madness feel free to post an update in one of the comment threads below.

Since it's mention on a primetime show, the interest in Inspector Spacetime has exploded so I thought I'd put together a guide for the new explorers to our corner on the continuum.

The Inspector - the main character of the show. An alien who travels in space and time. He has been played by several actors, each portraying a different modulation. Fandom short hand lists the modulations by letter i.e.: "H is my favorite Inspector!"

The Administrator - The Inspector's long time nemesis. Has also been played by several actors, yet there really isn't a short hand for them.

Delilah Crew - The Inspectors current consort. She is a nursing student.

Violet Day - The previous consort. She was separated from the Inspector when she got caught in a pocket continuum.

The DARSIT - More then just his ship, some say that the DARSIT is the Inspector's only love. Stands for Dimensions and Relative Space in Time.

The Staring Lions - They seem like stone lions, unless you stare at them and then they attack!

I will be adding more to this (I should be working, shh), but if you want to chime in with an entry feel free!

So even though I haven't been writing anything here, I have been doing this and that to keep me from going crazy with my school.

Here's a ton of icons that I've made.

44 Sci-Fi/Fantasy (made for an icon battle)
18 Doctor Who

Save the bandwidth!!! )

OMG you guys! [ profile] remixers_lounge posted the sign ups for this year's remix!!!!!

Is there anyone else on my f-list who does this?

Right now I qualify for Firefly and Marvel(Movie 'verse), but if I write an X-Men drabble in the next week then I could add that fandom too.

So prompt me people! I can go for Wolverine or Wolverine/Rouge in the movie verse.

And that go sign up for the remix!

I've had the flu for the last three days, so I've ended up on the sofa watching reruns of Star Trek.

I really do like Star Trek. Picard is awesome, Spock is laughing at everyone behind there backs and Trip/T'Pol are the best couple of all time.

In March madness news:

Thoughts on last night's Big Bang Theory... )
nestar: (AGG Bridge)
I caught "Little Women" on TV this afternoon (Fun Fact: There was a huge outcry when the story was first published over the fact that Jo didn't end up with Laurie. So much so that LMA decided to have Jo and Laurie get married after all... to Bhear and Amy.), which put me into the mood for some old school Christian Bale.

I had such a crush on him back in the day, and is it really any wonder...

Cut for a ton of youtube clips... )

Fandom March Madness is owning my soul.
Sherlock beat out Sybil Crawley which make me both happy (cus I love Sherlock) and sad (cus I picked Sybil for the pool).

Neal Caffrey is neck and neck with Scully, and I know she's Scully and awesome (I didn't even watch the show and I know how awesome she is), but he's Neal FREAKING Caffrey!!!

Kurt Hummle is beating the snot out of Pacey and that makes me very happy.

So in conclusion...

And just after I posted my big bang challenge over at [ profile] spy_land, the next challenge came out and it was a fanmix ::face palm::

I didn't even really try for this one, but hey points are points.
Cover and track listing under here... )

Information about Gonorrhea Lectim

The Center for Disease Control has issued a warning about a new virulent strain of this old disease. The disease is called Gonorrhea Lectim. It's pronounced "Gonna re-elect 'em," and it is a terrible obamanation.

The disease is contracted through dangerous and high risk behavior involving putting your cranium up your rectum. Many victims contracted it in 2008...but now most people, after having been infected for the past 1-2 years, are starting to realize how destructive this sickness is.

It's sad because Gonorrhea Lectim is easily cured with a new drug just coming on the market called Votemout. You take the first dose in 2010 and the second dose in 2012 and simply don't engage in such behavior again; otherwise, it could become permanent and eventually wipe out all life as we know it.

Several states are already on top of this, like Virginia and New Jersey, and apparently now Massachusetts, with many more seeing the writing on the wall.

Please pass this important message on to all those bright folk you really care about.

Doctor Who and the star of doom
Astronomer Dr Megan Argo was working at Jodrell Bank with an international team that detected a powerful jet of energy from a star exploding in a distant galaxy as a catastrophic supernova. The breakthrough is being officially announced in heavily technical language to the world of science today by the journal Nature. But Megan, 28, a keen fan of British scifi favourite Doctor Who decided to write it up as a fan-fiction adventure to bring home the excitement of the team's finding to ordinary people.

A few months ago Wil Wheaton blogged about a cool book he found called "Shatnerquake". Bill Shatner has to battle every character he's ever played.

Well, today the author is holding a one day give away. All he asks is that once you've read it, to post a review - at Amazon, or your blog, or whatever review site you may know.

Go to the author's blog to download it.

The Good - Got a review on for "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps".
Argghh! You got the mood absolutely perfect, and then left us hanging! I
wanted to dive in and read a lot more! Please consider a longer one next time
with your obvious talent for the craft. Thanks!

OMG! "your obvious talent for the craft." I want to kiss whoever wrote this!

The Bad - It's That Time of the Month and on top of that my throat is scratchy and my head hurts. Boo.

The Funny - To Be Six Again...
A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, observing his wife, looking at herself in the mirror. Since her birthday was not far off he asked what she'd like to have for her Birthday.

'I'd like to be six again', she replied, still looking in the mirror.

On the morning of her Birthday, he arose early, made her a nice big bowl of Lucky Charms, and then took her to Six Flags theme park. What a day!

He put her on every ride in the park; the Death Slide, the Wall of Fear, the Screaming Monster Roller
Coaster, everything there was.

Five hours later they staggered out of the theme park. Her head was reeling and her stomach felt upside down.

He then took her to a McDonald's where he ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a chocolate shake.

Then it was off to a movie, popcorn, a soda pop, and her favorite candy, M&M's. What a fabulous adventure!

Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed exhausted. He leaned over his wife with a big smile and lovingly asked, 'Well Dear, what was it like being six again?'

Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed. 'I meant my dress size, you retard!!!!'

The moral of the story: Even when a man is listening, he is gonna get it wrong.
