The reason I did well on these? I was home-schooled. Neither of my parents hold a teaching certificate, but they do hold a vested interest in seeing me become the best I can.

Yay! I'm not the only former-homeschooler in the TM fandom! Not only was I homeschooled right up through high school, but I'm on my way to an MA. Cool beans. And they say that homeschooled kids aren't 1) smart or 2) well-adjusted. :P

That's cool! Unfortunately, my ultimate career goals require a Ph.D., so college and grad/post-grad studies aren't really optional for me.
