All I wanted to do was make a simple animated icon. I've done this before.Make the stills, put them in order, save as a .gif file. But for some reason Image Ready won't save as a .gif!

Had another one -technically two, maybe three- this morning:

1. Was pondering Crichton at the 'we have to keep track of crazy girls' meeting, and Chiana's trying to get inside the meeting because there's Jayneboys. Which led to:

2. The 'I work with puppets' group (for Han, Obi-Wan, Crichton, the Doctor and Jareth), but leaves out Cain, Indy and Mal. Which led to:

3. The 'I travel with a hairy sidekick' group (for Han, Crichton, Logan and Cain), but leaves out Indy and Mal. Which led to:

4. Crichton can technically attend the Princess meeting because technically he's married to one...

...okay. Four.

Oh, I've been trying to come up with a girls group for awhile.

Is it that you need .gif images for this to work? If that's all, I can convert them for you...

The way I learned to make animated icons was in Adobe Image Ready.

Once you had the icon done, you would save it as a .gif file.

I HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE!!!!!

But now, when I have Image Ready open, there is NO way to save as .gif

Hmm...so having the individual icons as a .gif wouldn't work...let me play around with the GIMP. It's got some animation capabilities. I'd have to play with the layers to get it just right. Let me see what I can come up with.
