It the old "Pick a character/ship, put on your music player to shuffle and write while the song plays" thing.

I kind of cheated a little (some stories just couldn't be finished in the time I had), but all in all I stuck with it. There are even two instrumental pieces in here.

Iron Man - Tony/Pepper

01 - Don't Get Lost in the Crowd – Ashley Ballard
It was another event, filled with music, filled with drinks, filled with people.

Tony was behaving, for now. He had managed to end up talking with Mark Willis who was an engineer from GE. Pepper had left them comparing plans for how the Death Star would actually fire and made her way to a quite spot out side.

She hadn't even finished her drink when Tony sat down next to her, “I almost lost you in the crowd back there.”

02 - How Do You Like Me Now – Toby Keith

03 - Normal American Boy – Bye, Bye, Birdie

04 - Mal's Song – Michelle Dockrey
The only part of the missions that Tony really enjoyed was the flying. The times when he could have Jarvis pilot and he was free to just watch the stars passing.

After he landed he would have to deal with savage men or government hounds (he hadn't decided which ones were the worst yet), then there was always the look in Pepper's eyes – sad, but glad at the same time.

05 - Let Me Be Your Wings – Barry Manilow
Faster, higher, more. That had always been Tony's life. So many years spent chasing after the next high, but no matter what he did the high would always fade – booze, girls, drugs, hell even the Iron Man suit had been a thrill only the first time.

But Pepper... No matter how many time she said it, Tony's heart always speed up at hearing her say “I love you.”

06 - Tinkerbell – James Newton Howard (from the Peter Pan soundtrack)

07 - For Crying Out Loud – Meatloaf

08 - She's All I Ever Had – Ricky Martin

09 - Intermezzo in A, Op 118 no 2 – Brahms

10 - The Impossible Dream – Man of La Mancha

So the first two were kind of duds (I thought), but after that they really picked up (I had to stop the song when "Normal American Boy came on because the idea of Pepper and the SHIELD agent trying to do damage control and telling wildly different stories made me laugh to hard). And I might just come back to "For Crying Out Loud" and flesh that out some more (Because it's Jim Steinman, and my god, the stories that get shoved into all the songs he does...)

I enjoyed all of them, but I would have to say 6 and 8 are my favorites.

Thanks!

When 8 came on I almost fell over from hearing the words because it just fit tony/pepper so well.

While I do love the Peter/Wendy story (much more so since the newest movie), I still have a weak spot for the scene in "Hook" where Tink is looking at Peter's ID photo and crying.

ALL of them are amazing stories. My very favorite has to be the 9th one. It really got to me. I really love seeing this sensitive side of Tony playing the piano. It's beautiful.

There is such a separation of the different aspects of Tony that I stumbled on with that story; there is the side that is rock'n'roll - hard, loud, dirty - but there is also a side that is more classical.

Exactly =D If not, then why is the piano there? lol But it's incredibly sweet and romantic - and, dare I say sexy - him playing the piano and only Pepper to be there listening. Makes me melt. I really liked your stories =)
