Growing up, I had this VHS recording of Wizard of Oz from when they showed it on TV, and then there was this Special afterwards with Angela Lansburry talking about the Ruby Red Slippers and ll of these other facts. I watched it so much.
The idea behind the story was so amazing to me. And I had this series of pop-up books before I switched to the actual books that I loved.

In other words: love Wizard of Oz.
I would have not known about it being on TV had it not been for being hopelessly bored whilst on a train home. I was stuck between a wonderfully polite gentleman who worked for NJ Transit and gave me the warm fuzzies and a girl who thought that the train was broken, so she was calling her boyfriend every five minutes of the two hour trip saying that she was late. In front of me was a poster for the show.


Plus, you know, the whole idea of an angsty guy stuck in a Tin Suit for that long? I love my emotionally scarred men. My male harem goes to group therapy. It's cheaper that way.
