This wasn't what Zero had been promised when he first put on that long black coat and knelt before his ruler.
Ten years he had give to the cause of overthrowing the Queen, and he had been told that at the end there would be a dark-haired woman waiting for him. His princess.
She would be next to him in his bed and he would be next to her in her throne room.
That was what Zero had given up everything for.
Just two days, two days and it would have been over. The witch would have locked the land in darkness and Zero would have opened the rift that would allow the water to flow.
But now he was locked in an iron suit and the suns still shone.
His one hope was that he would just die in the suit and his cousin would never find out how Zero had failed.
After all, there was a reason Ming was called “The Merciless”.
