"Raise A Little Cain" 6/?

Later that day Glitch managed to explain to Cain that it would be safer to re-age him slowly. Cain said that Glitch should have told him that before the switch was flipped. Well, Cain's door said that; Cain himself had stayed in his room for the rest of the day and DG didn't even want to think about why.

God! I mean, yes, I have thought about 'raising Cain', but in like a risqué sense, not having to put up with mister grumpy-pants and now mister teen-angst.

DG pounded on the door, “Wyatt Cain, open this door right now!”

“Go away!”

DG let her head drop against the door a few times before she knocked again.

“Cain, please just open the door.”

DG heard something that sounded like “Don't wanna.” and then a thud.

DG sighed, put her hand on the knob and let her light flow through the lock. When she opened the door the smell nearly drove her back out of the room.

“Oh my god!” She gasped. “How did you... Where did you even find that much booze?”

Cain just lay on the floor moaning and holding his head.

DG toed aside a few of the bottles and sat down on the floor next to him.

Cain half-opened one eye. “Jeb owed me big.”

“So he tried to give you alcohol poisoning?” DG let out a snort.

Cain flopped an arm towards DG. “Would you really be happy about being like this again?”

DG shuddered. She had been skinny and awkward for so long. Hell she hadn't even really gotten boobs until she was 19. No, that was not a time she wanted to relive.

“Well, Glitch wants a few hours between agings, so by tomorrow night you'll be back to your, um, old self.”

“You're not funny.”
